TestRecorder 9 Qt Support Modules - Installation Notes

TestRecorder supports Qt controls of version 5.0.0. This archive contains TestRecorder’s helper modules that provide support for Qt version 5.0.0.

Note: TestRecorder can work only with one version of Qt support modules at a time. You cannot install modules that will provide support for different Qt versions at the same time.

Archive Structure

The archive contains two folders:

Bin\Extensions
x64\Bin\Extensions

Both folders contain the following files:

tcQtHook.dll
tcQtProxy.dll
tcQtProxyd.dll
tcQtWrappers.dll
tcQtWrapperd.dll

The Bin\Extensions folder contains files that are used for testing 32-bit applications. The x64\Bin\Extensions folder contains files used for testing 64-bit applications.

Installing Qt Support Modules

The modules listed in the Archive Structure section above are redistributable. You must ship them along with your application that uses the TestRecorder functionality. So, to use the modules, unpack them to a temporary folder and then replace the original modules in your application’s installation package with the modules from the temporary folder.

Important: The modules to be used depend on your application —

If this application is a 32-bit application, use the modules from the Bin folder.
If it is a 64-bit application, use the modules from the x64\Bin folder.

Restoring Qt Support Modules

To use the original functionality of the Qt Support modules, simply use the modules that are included in the TestRecorder installation.
