Firefox Patches for TestExecute 8 - Installation Notes

The patch is a .zip archive that contains several files. These files provide support for Mozilla Firefox version 7.0.1.
The support for this version was not included in TestExecute version 8.60.665 and it is provided as a patch now.

Archive Structure

The archive contains the following files:

• tcFF7Hook.dll
• tcOpenApps.pls
• tcOpenApps2.pls

Installing the Patch

To install the patch, follow these steps:

1. Unpack the files from the archive to a temporary folder.

2. Close TestExecute if it is running.

3. Create a back up copy of the files mentioned in the Archive Structure section.

   To back up the files, copy the original files from the <TestExecute>\Bin\Extensions folder to another folder.

4. Replace the files in the <TestExecute>\Bin\Extensions folder with the files from the temporary folder.

Now you can run TestExecute and test web pages shown in Mozilla Firefox ver. 7.0.1.

Restoring Firefox Support Modules

To restore the Firefox modules that are provided by the original TestExecute installation, re-install TestExecute or replace the current files that are located in the <TestExecute>\Bin\Extensions folder with their backup copies.
